“I give her my unwavering support. Let’s get to the polls November 3rd and reelect her for the 17th Congressional District.”
MOLINE – Today, Lanark, Illinois Mayor Kenneth Viglietta endorsed Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) for re-election. Mayor Viglietta cited Congresswoman Bustos’s steadfast commitment to the families and communities of Northwest and Central Illinois. Viglietta has served as Mayor of Lanark since 2017.
“Lanark is a population of about 1,500 people surrounded by corn and soybeans. Cheri goes to the halls of Washington with the most powerful people but doesn’t forget how to come back to her district, not lose the common touch, and listen to us” Mayor Viglietta said. “I give her my unwavering support. Let’s get to the polls November 3rd and reelect her for the 17th Congressional District.”
“Mayor Viglietta serves Lanark with both heart and pragmatism, and I’m so proud to accept his endorsement in this campaign,” Rep. Bustos said. “We are lucky to have leaders like Ken, who fight to support small towns and rural America. I look forward to continuing my work with Mayor Viglietta to be part of that fight for a more prosperous Northwest and Central Illinois.”
Now in her fourth term representing Illinois’ 17th Congressional District, Cheri Bustos is a leader in the fight to lower health care costs, rebuild our region’s infrastructure and get real results for hardworking families across Northwestern and Central Illinois.
